About the Founder

Profile

The founder of TANGGER, Adrian Tang, has held various operational and strategic posts during his 33 years of service with the Hong Kong Police Force.  As a UK accredited Police Search Advisor (PolSA) in counter terrorism search, Adrian Tang has a diversified experience in major event security including high-profile international conference, major sports events and visits of international dignitaries specialized in the field of venue search, security screening and behaviour observation. 

In the past, Adrian Tang has organized different security training programmes to law enforcement agencies in Hong Kong, Macao, mainland China and other overseas countries.

Credentials

Adrian Tang holds the credentials of Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and Physical Security Professional (PSP) accredited by the American Society for Industrial Security International (ASIS).  He is a recognized Manager and Risk Assessor by the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).  He is also a certified Lead Auditor in conformity with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.

Adrian Tang is an Expert of the Project Stadia, a knowledge management platform, established by the INTERPOL and funded by Qatar for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Social Commitment

From 2013 to 2021, Adrian Tang was a member of the Security Services Industry Training Advisory Committee under the purview of the Education Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Government primarily tasked to drawing up competency standards in respect of key functional areas of the security industry (referred to as the Specification of Competency Standards).
